A Proven Record of Community Service

On October 24th vote for Frances Nunziata in the riding of Ward 5 – York South- Weston.

Brothers and Sisters,

For decades, LiUNA Local 183 members have built the roads, homes, civil infrastructure and transit our communities rely on and created better futures for their families. You work hard for your community and deserve a councillor who has your back.

We’re ready to continue building up Toronto, and we need a Council that will support and appreciate LiUNA’s work in the city.

Frances Nunziata has a proven record of standing up for workers and knows the importance of the work that we do each day and stands with us as champions for LiUNA Local 183 members.

With supportive partners like Frances Nunziata at City Hall, we will build new housing across the city, deliver major transit projects to our neighbours, and proudly take on the work that we do each and every day to keep our Toronto moving, growing, and the economic powerhouse of Canada.

On October 24th, re-elect Frances Nunziata as your next councillor for Ward 5 –York South Weston.

In solidarity,

Jack Oliveira Business Manager LiUNA Local 183

Every week, my team and I answer hundreds of calls and emails from people who need help navigating City Hall. We work with city staff to resolve issues that residents are experiencing, improve city services, and ensure that policies are working for people in Ward 5. You can count on me and my team to advocate for you. Please take a moment to review my TRACK RECORD on these most important issues in the main menu.

Early Childhood Development Initiative Drop In

On Thursday October 6, the Early Childhood Development Initiative (ECDI), located at 1836 Weston Road ,hosted an open house for the community to drop in and learn about the services of the organization.

ECDI works with families from west Africa who have chosen Canada as their home. The ECDI  provides professional programming to help the important early years of the infants and young children of these families learn about how to grow and participate in their new home and community. Staff are trained in early childhood development and representative of the home countries. The ECDI is financial supported by international programs and the Canadian federal government.

Founder and ED of ECDI, Patricia Falope, herself an immigrant to Canada 20 years ago, was inspired to help new families on their journey as their learn the laws and customs of Canada while retaining their cultural and linguistic heritage.

“Like other immigrants, my husband and I had to adjust and learn many things that were different from our birth country. As an educator I feel compelled and inspired to help our young children coming to Canada to acquire a strong foundation in their new home and do so in a positive, safe learning environment that we create at ECDI. The organization has programming in several languages and delivers it using leading best practises in early childhood development.
